Life at Brush Creek Curlys
This is to keep everyone informed of what is happening at our farm. I hope you enjoy the experiences with us.
Entry for May 18, 2007

Just thought I would let  you all know what we are planning on doing this year.

We have three babies due between August and September .  Manny's (senior minimal stallion) first baby is due this year out of Red(marcel wave).  Peanut (minimal) will be having a gaited baby and Curly Bess will be having a mule baby.  We are hoping curly and gaited.  :))

We will be starting Pistol(minimal) and Pita(straight) under saddle and working with Roxy(minimal), Manny, Lucy.  Remember Pistol, Pita, Taz(marcel wave), and Lucy registered Quarter pony(non-curly) are all for sale.

We will be making the covered car port into my bedroom.  Need to finish up the mares barn and do work on the stallion barn.   Need to also get my headgate and working pen up for the cows.

This weekend we are going to be doing a lot of work on the stallion barn.  I am going to take before and after pictures of the stallion barn.  I wish I would have thought of before and after pictures on the mares barn.  It will be sooooo nice haveing 2 barns.

I have alot of brush hogging and cross fencing to do.

I will be taking pictures during the whole ride.

I was fixing fence the other day and Taz 10 month old colt thought he needed attention.  He kept picking up my wire and coffee can and thought he would nip me to get my attention.  Then he grabbed my fence pliers I said "What do you think you are doing!" and threw them up in the air.   This little (not real little) guy is just a lover and wants attention anytime I go into the pasture.  If he doesn't get it right away he trys to find away to get it.  LOL

Keep coming back to see what else is going on.
