Entry for February 9, 2009

I have been very bad about keeping up with this blog.  :)  I am sorry for that.  I keep saying I am going to do better but time gets away from me.  :)

I do have some good news.  We have won an internet adoption and have becom proud owners of a smooth coated curly mustang.  :)  She will be coming home on March 27, 2009.  We are very excited.

Some of the other things going on at this time are:

We are still working on clearing the pasture but hope to have alot of it done this month.  After we get some of the clearing done we will be putting up some fences so that we can put out some seed and keep the animals off of it for a couple of months until it gets a good start.   It means feeding hay for a little longer this year but it will be worth it.  :)

We have had some crazy antics with the horses and one sad occassion.  Our sad occassion was that Ms Sharp Shooter came down with pnuemonia and she just couldn't beat it.  We had to say good by and she is now in greener pastures.

Pita who will be 4 yo this year is being her goofy little self.  Her latest was a jumping adventure.  She happened to be a stall that the out side wall is a little over 5ft and she decided that going over the wall looked like more fun then going out the door she came in.  :))  Her back hoof did hit wall and it came down but she did this jump at a stand still.  :)  This girl deffinatly needs to find a jumping home.  :)

Taz Man and Commanche's Silver are now both geldings and they both are sweet as can be.  Taz will get a little light saddle work this spring and summer.  While Silver will be turning 2 and doing more ground work.

Tutt has found not so suddle ways to get your attention.  Such as taking your hat and pulling on your coat sleeve when he thinks he needs your attention.

Have no babies coming this year but will hopefully have a couple coming next year.

That is all for now.  I will try to get back soon.
