Entry for June 4, 2007

Well it was another very busy weekend.  :)  I finished moving dirt out of the stallion barn.  I put in 4 new support posts, still need to put 2 more in.  Then I can start on the walls, stalls and doors.  I am going to have double doors instead of a single door.   All of the support posts I found out in my pasture.  I have plenty of trees that are down and need to be cleaned up.   As I bring in poles (trees) I am cleaning up the pasture in the process.

I have also cleaned up the area for Peanut's and Red's dry lot.  All I have to do is put a separating fence and I will be done with that.  I think I am going to use the round pen for Bess's dry lot.  I finally got it up also.

My bedroom now has all four walls, electricity, and they are starting on the dry wall.

It rained all last week which delayed some of the work but it is supposed to be nice this week so they should get it finished.

Sue is going to be coming into town Wednesday.  So I will be taking a couple of days to have fun and play with the horses.  It will be a very nice break and one that I have needed for a couple of weeks.

I just can't seem to make myself stop when I know there is so much work to be done.  I think it is so hard to stop because I am enjoying what I am doing. :)

Desiree leaves to go with her grandpa sometime this week also.  They are going traveling and riding for a month.  I believe they are going to the Grand Canyon and Mt. Rushmore and I am sure a bunch of places in between.  :))  I am going to miss her but I am sure she is going to have fun.  I wish I could go with them.  :))

That is all for now.
